Turning rain into resilience!

The Nuisance Flooding Blitz is a pilot project helping residents reduce localized flooding by installing free green infrastructure like rain gardens, conservation landscapes, and cisterns. These cost-effective solutions manage stormwater, improve drainage, and strengthen neighborhood resilience.

What you’ll do:

  • Tour 4–5 completed project sites
  • See how practices manage stormwater and reduce flooding
  • Explore commonly used native plants
  • Get tips on watering, mulching, and plant care

This program is funded by the Prince George’s County Stewardship Grant Program through the County’s Department of the Environment and administered by the Chesapeake Bay Trust.
