In 2025, the LID Center launched the Environmental Infrastructure Collaborative, a regional initiative funded through the Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Finance Center (EFC) program. The Collaborative supports communities across EPA Region 3 in developing proactive and practical approaches to environmental infrastructure planning. Support includes assistance with identifying local priorities, evaluating funding opportunities, and preparing for long‑term maintenance and upgrades through technical guidance, investment‑readiness support, and resources for asset management.
The Environmental Infrastructure Collaborative strengthens local capacity to finance, maintain, and modernize environmental infrastructure while addressing pollution and water‑resource concerns. Additional materials, tools, and learning opportunities will be added as the initiative expands its offerings across the region.
