The LID Center served as technical manager for an Installation Resilience Review (IRR) funded by the Department of Defense OLDCC and implemented through the Clean Water Partnership. The project identified flood risks and developed infrastructure resilience strategies for areas surrounding Joint Base Andrews, focusing on vulnerable roadways and transportation access.

The LID Center led the pilot study in the Henson Creek watershed, developed the GIS-based methodology for the IRR, and supported hydrologic and hydraulic modeling across multiple storm scenarios—including a 10-year, 24-hour storm for regulatory compliance and a future 100-year, 24-hour storm to ensure long-term stability.

Findings from this review will help inform the development of green and gray infrastructure strategies to reduce flooding and support Prince George’s County’s long-term resilience goals. The LID Center also authored the final report in coordination with Weston & Sampson, KK&R, and BENGAL.
