Project Description

Municipal Online Stormwater Training (MOST)

The University of Maryland Environmental Finance Center in partnership with the Low Impact Development Center has established the Municipal Online Stormwater Training (MOST) Center. The project was made possible by a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, who will provide $350,000 a year for the next five years to launch and operate it. The MOST Center will help communities bridge the gap in needed technical and financial resources through a comprehensive training program. The program’s goal is to help municipalities within the Chesapeake Bay watershed access and implement innovative stormwater management techniques to improve water quality in the Bay. This will be accomplished through an innovative web-based training program that will allow elected officials, program managers, procurement and financial officials, stormwater management staff, and other stakeholders to gain the necessary skill sets and information that can be used to create and enhance effective programs.
